Just a quick note that SPOT, our GPS tracker is back up and running for those of you following it (link is in the top right of this page I believe). We're currently in the Southern Abacos waiting for winds <20 and waves < 10 feet, with a period over 7 seconds before crossing. Looks like Saturday is the best bet right now. Other than that, we went over to Wind Dancer, a boat next to us tonight for a bit of social activity. Of course, since our dinghy isn't inflated, they had to come pick us up and take us over, then drop us off. Other than that, we're trying to be patient and doing various boat projects to keep us busy.
Next up - troubleshooting the cigarette lighter in the cockpit and installing the shower pump in the head.
We're also evaluating the itinerary - we both want to get to central america, but given our current pace that will be a stretch, plus there are several long offshore passages on the way, and a hard stop at the end of June due to hurricanes. One option is to leave the boat in Georgetown for a month or so, checking out Belize / Central America, and then heading back to sail up the ICW back to the Northeast. Or push South to Jamaica, and leave the boat there or in the Southern Caribbean. Still thinking about it, along with all of you up in the great white North - seem like things just aren't getting better right now with the economy and such.
